About Rainmaker Irrigation

One shop on Howard Road, running Petoskey’s sprinkler seasons since 1987.

Locally owned and operated at 2696 Howard Road. Trucks out in the field, an office that picks up the phone, and a calendar that starts in spring and ends with a compressor in the fall.

A valve box, a tape measure and a trench. Most of the job is down here.

The work follows the Northern Michigan calendar.

Rainmaker Irrigation has been locally owned and operated since 1987, and every one of those seasons has run out of the same address on Howard Road. We design and install complete irrigation systems, then stay on to look after them. In the spring we start a system up. Through the season we check it every month. In the fall we winterize it, blowing the lines out with compressed air before the freeze. That is what the compressor trailer in our photos is for.

New installations carry a two-year warranty on parts and a one-year warranty on labor. Older systems get the same attention: we troubleshoot them, update them and re-design them when a yard changes, instead of tearing out what still works.

The truck carries Rain Bird, Hunter Irrigation, Toro, MP Rotator and Sta-Rite, and the people on it work alongside Evergreen Services, the Petoskey company that handles lawn care, property maintenance and snow. If your property needs both, one call to the office can get both started.

The office is half of it.

Calls and requests land with the office first, and Cheryl is the name on the email address. Send a request through this site and a Rainmaker Irrigation representative will contact you by the next business day. Estimates are free.
