A well-lit landscape leaves an impression on your guests and on anyone passing by, and it also does a plain, useful job: it shows people where to put their feet. A Northern Michigan evening gets dark quickly, and a path with no light on it is a path nobody wants to walk with their hands full.
We design and install lighting for walkways, driveways and patios. Walkways need the edges and the steps found, the driveway needs the approach and the turn marked, and the patio needs enough light to use without turning the whole yard into a stage.

Fixture placement is designed with the landscape, not around it
Where a light goes matters more than how many you buy. Placement starts with the landscape itself: the trees, the planting beds, the water, the lines of the house. The aim is to light what is worth seeing and keep the glare out of windows and out of your guests' eyes.
The photo above is a real example from our own work: landscape lighting at dusk across a pond. The water carries the light across the yard, which is exactly the kind of thing you plan for on paper before a single fixture goes in the ground.
Chapter 03
Installed by the same shop that does your irrigation
Lighting and irrigation share a lot of the same ground. Trenches, beds and lawn edges all get worked on, and having one crew from the shop on Howard Road in Petoskey handle both means one call covers it.
